Practices For Peace

WAKE UP ON PURPOSE:

Get into the practice of doing something for YOU before you do anything for anyone else. Even setting your alarm five minutes early to practice deep breathing in an upright position can change your entire day! Create a ritual for yourself and wake up on purpose!

MEDITATE:

There are a million ways to meditate, and there is no wrong way! That takes some pressure off, right? Meditation teaches us to observe without judgement - and if you want to see this challenge through, you'll want to flex your "non-judgement" muscle! Metta, Mindfulness and Mind Training meditations are all on our weekly schedule, some are free!

TAP:

Tapping helps you to manage your energy by sending signals to your brain through meridian points. Through the practice of tapping you can manifest abundance, free yourself from negative emotion and relieve stress, fear and anxiety. You can tap live every Monday or access tapping on demand via the energy channel.

JOURNAL:

This challenge is about so much more than movement! It is about connecting with yourself on a new level. It is about claiming the possibility of a new year and stepping forward as your best self! Engage with our journaling prompts, and keep daily notes of how you feel, how you respond and how you adapt to what you are discovering in yourself!

UNPLUG:

Take two consecutive hours away from your phone and computer everyday! If this is a lofty goal, start small with 30 minutes and build from there! A great practice is to refrain from looking at your phone until you've completed your entire morning routine, and/or putting your phone away at least an hour before bed! Every life is different, you've got to find a way to work this into your life...we encourage you to be most mindful with how and when you open your social media apps - your brain and nervous system will benefit from these breaks!

PRIORITIZE REST:

Life is go-go-go, and you're adding more to your plate right now. You might need to set your alarm a little bit earlier or use your lunch break for your daily workout, but just as you may need to give a thing or two up to get the work done, you may need to give a thing or two up to prioritze your rest.
